Now, the Detroit Lions are officially in the offseason, but the work doesn’t stop now. In fact, the Lions are going to be working hard than ever to make change to their staff and get the right mix of people together to hopefully go further next season.

The Lions fell out of the postseason on December 25 after a loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but after that game, they still gave it their all and pulled off a fantastic win over the Bears. It shows that the talent on this team is undeniable, but they have to make a few changes to perfect that chemistry. Now, the Lions have announced news on wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown after the season has wrapped up.

Dan Campbell Praises Detroit Lions for Win Over Chicago Bears

Following the team’s win over the Bears on Sunday, January 4, Campbell praised his team. He said he was “proud” of the players and that it was the right way to finish.

“I really didn’t expect anything different out of them just knowing the guys that we had I tell you what,” he said, speaking to reporters. “But, nonetheless, I’m still proud of them because it’s not always the easiest thing. You get eliminated and it’s hard for some guys. You’re back out in the elements and with a team that’s already clinched.”

He added, “But our guys fought, man, from the beginning even when they came back, we were up two scores, they came back, our guys didn’t bat an eye and we were able to finish it out. Really one of the best games we’ve played as far as complementary football. That’s really what, a lot of really good performances by a lot of guys.”

Regarding the future of the team, Campbell said, “I believe that things happen for a reason, right wrong or indifferent. And just when something like this happens, I believe it’s going to be for the best. It’s up to Brad (Holmes) and I to make it for the best and the guys that we know we’re going to count on on this team.”

So, now, Campbell and Holmes are in the rebuilding phase of this team. The 2026-27 season can’t come soon enough.
