“No pain, no gain.” Four simple words. Everyone has heard them. Most have probably rolled their eyes at them at some point. The truth, however, is harder to avoid.

Philadelphia Eagles star Cooper DeJean appears to understand that better than most.
DeJean’s rise has been fast, but it hasn’t happened by accident. He became an instant fan favorite the moment he announced himself on the biggest stage possible.
He became the first Eagle in franchise history to intercept a pass in the Super Bowl. He was a Defensive Rookie of the Year finalist in his first NFL season and an All-Pro nod in his second.
That isn’t bad at all for a guy who’s clearly just getting started. The obvious question that everyone is asking now is what might he do next?

Anyone looking for a little motivation may want to spend a few minutes scrolling social media for once. Yes, that sounds dangerous. Occasionally, though, something worthwhile surfaces, and this is one of those times. Recently, behind-the-scenes footage of DeJean’s offseason workout regimen surfaced on X.
Honestly, it’s the kind of clip that says it all. Keiser squats, broad jumps, flying 20s, and suicide sprints are all part of an intense regimen, as are explosive movement drills, strength work, and conditioning that looks borderline miserable.
That’s exactly the kind of stuff that elite athletes embrace when nobody’s watching. It’s easy to admire the highlights on Sundays. It’s harder to appreciate the grind that makes those moments possible. DeJean already looks like one of the Eagles’ foundational defensive stars. Vic Fangio is expanding his responsibilities. Philadelphia clearly believes he can become even more dangerous.
If this clip is any indication, DeJean isn’t spending the offseason celebrating what he’s already accomplished. He’s training like someone who believes the best version of himself hasn’t shown up yet.
