BREAKING NEWS: Jaguars’ Relentless Ground Game Wears Down Raiders in Overtime Thriller.

The Jacksonville Jaguars stormed into Las Vegas with a clear mission — to run the ball, control the tempo, and impose their will. And in a 30–29 overtime victory, that mission was accomplished with grit.

Head Coach Liam Coen’s offensive blueprint was on full display — physicality, patience, and persistence. Though the offense sputtered early, the Jaguars’ unwavering commitment to the run eventually tilted the momentum in their favor.

Jacksonville Jaguars legend Maurice Jones-Drew praises Travis Etienne with ranking

Leading the charge was dynamic running back Travis Etienne Jr., whose second-half surge defined the game. His relentless running set the tone for a team that refused to be denied on enemy turf.

“You wear them down through the course of the game,” Etienne said. “Those 4-yard gains become 8, those 8 become 10 — you just have to stick with it.”

Etienne finished with 84 rushing yards on 22 carries, while Jacksonville’s ground unit amassed 151 total yards — their highest mark since Week 4. The effort embodied the physical identity Coen envisioned from day one.

With wideouts Dyami Brown and Brian Thomas Jr. sidelined by injuries, the Jaguars leaned heavily on the run. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence capped the comeback with two rushing touchdowns, including the overtime game-winner.

Coen praised his offensive line’s dominance, noting there’s “still meat left on the bone” — but he emphasized how crucial the run game was to securing the victory against a fierce Raiders front.

The Jaguars’ creative use of the Wildcat formation and jumbo packages kept Las Vegas off balance, a sign that this offense is evolving — tougher, smarter, and ready to wear down anyone who stands in its way.
