PART 2: THE SECRET OF BLOOD. The empire of millions begins to collapse. bb

The clinking of Baccarat crystal glasses came to an abrupt stop. The faces of the country’s most powerful businessmen and their jewel-covered wives froze in stunned disbelief. In the center of the opulent dining hall, illuminated by a massive crystal chandelier, the young woman held the rusted bracelet high in the air. The old, worn metal clashed violently against the silk tablecloths and gleaming silverware.

Don Humberto, the patriarch of the family, felt a cold sweat run down his back. He tried to maintain his aristocratic composure, but his eyes betrayed a deep, primal panic.

“Security!” shouted Humberto’s current wife, shattering the silence with a shrill voice. “Get this tramp out of my gala dinner! How dare she interrupt us with this nonsense?”

Two armed guards quickly moved toward the young woman, but before they could touch her, a trembling yet commanding voice echoed from the head of the table.

“Stop! No one touches her,” ordered Grandmother Leonor.

The elderly matriarch of the family, known for her ruthless coldness, slowly rose from her velvet chair. Her eyes, clouded by age yet still sharp as a hawk’s, were fixed on the object in the young woman’s hand. With slow steps and her cane striking the marble floor, she approached the intruder.

Grandmother Leonor took the bracelet with trembling hands. When she turned it over and saw the family crest — a hand-engraved silver wolf surrounded by thorns — the elderly woman gasped. She covered her mouth with one hand, and for the first time in thirty years, high society witnessed the toughest woman in the clan break down in tears.

“It’s… it’s Mariana’s bracelet,” Grandmother Leonor whispered, staring into the young woman’s eyes. “You… you have her eyes. The eyes of my lost daughter.”

“Mariana…?” the guests murmured among themselves. The name of the empire family’s eldest daughter had been erased from the family’s history twenty years ago.

Don Humberto shot to his feet, knocking over his glass of red wine, which spilled across the tablecloth like a pool of blood.

“Mother, don’t listen to this con artist’s lies!” Humberto shouted, his voice shaking. “Mariana died years ago in absolute misery because she chose that life! This woman only wants to blackmail us! She wants our money!”

The young woman stepped forward. There was no fear in her eyes — only a cold, righteous fire.

“I didn’t come for your money, Humberto,” the young woman said, and the moment she addressed him by his first name, the entire room held its breath. “My name is Aurora. And I came for the honor of the woman you exiled, humiliated, and robbed of everything that belonged to her. I came for my mother’s honor.”

Aurora reached into her worn coat and pulled out an old but perfectly preserved black leather envelope. She threw it onto the center of the banquet table directly in front of the company’s most important investors.

“That envelope contains my grandfather’s original will,” Aurora declared in a firm, clear voice, making sure every corner of the hall could hear her. “The empire you proudly claim today, Humberto, does not belong to you. My grandfather left seventy percent of the company shares to my mother. But you… you forged the signatures. You accused her of a theft she never committed, threw her out into the rain while she was pregnant with me, and stole her entire life.”

“That’s a lie! Those documents are fake!” Humberto roared, lunging across the table to grab the envelope, but Grandmother Leonor slammed her cane against the table, stopping him instantly.

“Back away, Humberto!” the grandmother commanded, glaring at him with a look of disgust that shattered her son’s pride. “I always knew your ambition had no limits, but I never imagined you would destroy your own sister out of greed.”

Grandmother Leonor turned toward the guests, who stared at the unfolding scene as if witnessing a Greek tragedy.

“The dinner is over,” the elderly woman announced coldly. “Leave. What comes next is a matter of blood… and justice.”

The guests quickly began leaving the hall, whispering in shock. Phones were already lighting up with messages; the scandal of the century had just exploded within high society.

Humberto collapsed back into his chair, watching his business partners look at him with disgust before walking away. He knew that by sunrise, his company’s shares would be worthless and his reputation destroyed.

Aurora stepped closer until she stood face-to-face with the man who had ruined her mother’s life. She removed the rusted bracelet and dropped it in front of him.

“My mother died in a cold room, remembering this family crest with pain,” Aurora said with terrifying calmness. “But before she closed her eyes, she made me promise her one thing: that the whole world would know who you really are. Enjoy this mansion tonight, Humberto. Because tomorrow, the prosecutors who already possess the original copies of these documents will come to remove you from it. Your empire of lies is over.”

Grandmother Leonor extended her hand toward Aurora, tears filling her eyes as she finally recognized the greatest mistake of her past. Aurora looked at the old woman’s hand, then at the broken man sitting before her, and walked toward the exit with her head held high. She did not need their wealth anymore; she had already reclaimed the only thing that truly mattered — the dignity of her family name.
