Part 2 : The crowd stood frozen as the homeless man staggered backward, gripping his head. phunhoang

“Emily…” he repeated weakly.

Madeline burst into tears.

“Oh my God… you remember.”

The older man rushed toward them.

“Get him away from her NOW!”

Two bodyguards jumped out of the SUV, but the homeless man suddenly shouted:

“YOU LIED TO ME!”

Everyone stopped.

His voice echoed through the street so loudly that strangers across the intersection turned to look.

Memories were crashing back faster now.

The wedding night.

The black car.

The bridge.

The explosion.

And Madeline—no, Emily—screaming his name before everything went dark.

“You told me she was dead,” he said, staring at the older man.

The older man’s face hardened.

“She was supposed to be.”

Madeline stepped backward in horror.

“Dad…”

The crowd gasped again.

Her father grabbed her arm violently.

“You should’ve stayed hidden.”

The homeless man’s eyes widened.

“You did this to us?”

“YOU WERE NEVER SUPPOSED TO SURVIVE!” the old man snapped.

Phones were recording everything now.

Madeline ripped herself free.

“You stole my life!” she screamed. “You changed my name, took my memories, and left HIM on the streets!”

The homeless man looked shattered.

“You were my wife…?”

Madeline nodded through tears.

“For three months.”

Silence hit the street like a bomb.

Then the older man reached inside his jacket.

The homeless man instantly stepped in front of her.

People screamed.

But instead of a gun…

…the older man pulled out another ring.

An identical ring.

The homeless man stared at it in confusion.

His father-in-law’s voice trembled.

“There were always two.”

Madeline’s face went pale.

Because she knew exactly what that meant.

And so did he.

The second ring belonged to the third person who was inside the car the night of the explosion.

The person nobody ever found.

Then a woman’s voice suddenly spoke from inside the SUV.

“Looks like they finally remember.”

Madeline slowly turned toward the open door—

—and her dead sister smiled back at her.
