Part 2 : The ballroom stood frozen. phunhoang

Nobody moved.

Nobody breathed.

Victor Hale stared at the little girl as panic spread across his face.

The black stallion suddenly stepped between them, as if protecting her.

The reporters rushed forward.

“Cameras on!”

“Keep recording!”

Victor forced a laugh.

“This is ridiculous.”

But his shaking hands betrayed him.

The girl reached into her pocket.

“I came for this.”

She pulled out an old silver locket.

Victor’s eyes widened.

Impossible.

The locket had disappeared years ago.

“My father wore this the night he died,” she said.

The crowd listened in silence.

“He worked for you.”

Victor swallowed hard.

The girl continued.

“He discovered that you were stealing millions from your own company.”

Murmurs spread through the room.

Victor’s wealthy business partners exchanged nervous looks.

The girl pointed toward the stallion.

“My father escaped that night on this horse.”

The horse stomped the floor.

As if confirming her story.

“But he never made it home.”

Victor suddenly shouted.

“Stop!”

The room jumped.

Too late.

The girl opened the locket.

Inside was a tiny memory card.

The reporters gasped.

“What is that?”

The girl’s voice remained calm.

“My father recorded everything.”

Victor lunged forward.

“Give me that!”

Before he could reach her, security guards grabbed him.

The giant screens above the ballroom flickered to life.

A hidden video began playing.

Victor appeared on screen.

And everyone heard his voice.

“If he talks, make sure he disappears.”

The crowd erupted.

Several guests immediately stepped away from Victor.

Police officers who had been attending the gala moved toward him.

Victor’s knees buckled.

“It’s not what it looks like!”

But nobody believed him anymore.

The little girl knelt beside the stallion.

“You kept your promise,” she whispered.

The horse gently rested its head against her shoulder.

As police handcuffed Victor, one officer asked the girl,

“How did you know the horse would recognize you after all these years?”

The girl smiled through tears.

“Because my father raised him.”

The ballroom fell silent once more.

For the first time in years, the truth had finally come home.
