What should have been another intense but respectful NFL showdown at Lambeau Field was marred by a disturbing incident that crossed a clear line, forcing the Green Bay Packers and the league to confront fan behavior head-on.
During Sunday’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, a Ravens fan was ejected and permanently banned from Lambeau Field after throwing a lighter toward the Packers’ sideline, narrowly missing head coach Matt LaFleur. Packers president Ed Policy released a forceful statement condemning the act:
