BREAKING: Raiders FIRED Former Eagles Coach Fan Favorite Chip Kelly After Embarrassing 16–33 MNF Loss to Cowboys. MEUMEU

Las Vegas. The Raiders have officially fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly late Monday night, just hours after their humiliating 16–33 defeat on Monday Night Football to the Dallas Cowboys — a performance described internally as “unacceptable” and “beyond repair.”

Kelly, who was being paid $6 million per year, making him the highest-paid coordinator in the NFL, oversaw an offense that has cratered to 31st in scoring. Monday’s national-television meltdown was viewed by Raiders leadership as the final blow in a season full of regression, miscommunication and locker-room tension.

Team sources say head coach Antonio Pierce and the front office met immediately after the loss and reached a unanimous decision that “the Kelly era had to end tonight, not tomorrow.”

Kelly, in a message relayed through league reporters, expressed disappointment — but also made a surprising declaration about his future:

“.I believe I can still run a top-tier offense. If there’s a chance to return to Philadelphia as an offensive coordinator, that’s a situation I’d absolutely welcome.”

Kelly served as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles (2013–2015), and despite the controversial ending, he has repeatedly spoken about his respect for the franchise and city.

While league insiders view a Philly reunion as unlikely, they note that Kelly is actively positioning himself for a return to the role he believes suits him best —

running an offense, not running a team.

The Raiders will promote quarterbacks coach Trevor Moawad to interim OC while conducting a full internal review of the offense.

What was once marketed as a bold, innovative hire now ends as one of the most expensive coordinator failures in league history — and leaves Las Vegas scrambling as their season spirals.
