Jalen Carter Voluntarily Requests Pay Cut After Season-Ending Dual Shoulder Procedures Injury — And Eagles President’s Response Moves All of Philly👇 BEBE

In a development that has drawn admiration across the NFL, Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter has undergone medical procedures on both shoulders following a lingering injury that was aggravated late in the season.

The 24-year-old defensive cornerstone had been dealing with pre-existing shoulder issues, but the condition worsened during the Eagles’ Black Friday matchup against the Chicago Bears on November 28, when Carter played the

lowest snap percentage of his season. After the game, Carter confirmed to reporters that the pain had reached a level that could no longer be managed through rest alone.

According to team sources, Carter underwent procedures on December 4, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections in both shoulders — a treatment that draws the player’s own blood, concentrates platelets, and reinjects them into the injured area to promote soft-tissue healing, reduce inflammation, and manage pain. While PRP results can vary, it is often used to avoid more invasive surgical intervention.

Despite the physical setback, Carter’s mindset never wavered.Jalen Carter shares brutal self-evaluation of where he stands against the elite

“I love this organization. I love this city,” Carter told those close to the situation. “I’ve always believed if you can play, you play. But sometimes the right thing for the team is making sure you’re healthy enough to truly help. I’m focused on healing and coming back the right way — for my teammates and for Philadelphia.”

Carter’s approach sparked an emotional response across Eagles Nation, with fans flooding social media with messages of respect and appreciation for his toughness and honesty.

But the most powerful statement came directly from the organization.

In an official team release, the Eagles emphasized their commitment to Carter’s long-term health and role within the franchise:

“Jalen Carter is everything we want an Eagle to be — tough, accountable, and team-first. We will support him fully through his recovery. He’s not just a key part of our defense — he’s part of our family.”

Those words quickly resonated throughout the league, with players and analysts alike praising Philadelphia’s willingness to prioritize player health over short-term urgency.

Carter remains under close medical supervision and has begun his rehabilitation program with the Eagles’ training staff. Head coach

Nick Sirianni confirmed that Carter is “in good spirits” and progressing as expected, while stressing that his availability moving forward will be evaluated carefully.

For a defense built on physical dominance and interior pressure, Carter’s presence has been irreplaceable — even while limited. His willingness to play through pain underscored the culture inside the Eagles’ locker room.

As one fan wrote on X, perfectly capturing the moment:
“You can’t teach heart like that. Jalen Carter isn’t just playing for the Eagles — he’s carrying what Philadelphia football stands for.”
