According to university sources, Love personally covered roughly $130,000 in remaining balances

Love was reportedly inspired to take action after hearing that a fellow Utah State alumnus — and close friend from his 2018 New Mexico Bowl championship team — was delaying graduate school because of lingering debt. The story reminded him of how much the school had done for him.

Jordan Love played for the Utah State Aggies from 2016 to 2019, throwing for over 8,600 yards and 60 touchdowns across his college career. He was named MVP of the 2018 New Mexico Bowl, cementing his place as one of the greatest quarterbacks in program history.

A spokesperson for Utah State said, “We were informed that an anonymous donor had covered student loans for the Class of 2019. When we discovered it was Jordan, we were deeply moved by his humility and his ongoing commitment to the Aggie community.”
