While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end declined to speak to press following his team’s devastating loss against the Houston Texans Dec. 7, he finally shared his feelings around the game that possibly tanked the Chiefs’ playoffs hopes.
“It’s been a tough f–king go around for the past two days,” Travis admitted to brother Jason Kelce during the Dec. 10 episode of New Heights. “I keep thinking if I show up to work and I put in the work and I fix the issues through my practice habits and through perfecting the game plan and my fundamentals and what I’m being taught and try to play my ass off for my guys next to me—it’s all going to come together like it has in years past.”
Indeed, despite making it to the Super Bowl for the past three years, it has been a tough year for the Chiefs.
“Obviously looking at the playoffs, this is a tough reality to be in,” Travis shared. “Especially for how we’ve always found a way in years past. So, it’s a s–tty f–king feeling.”

And the 36-year-old admitted he was particularly upset about his dropped pass, which allowed the Houstons an interception that solidified their 20-10 win.
“Especially dropping the ball late in the game like that,” Travis continued. “When we were on our last f–king chance to make something shake. It’s a s–tty feeling.”
Jason, meanwhile, pushed back on Travis’ disappointment in catching Patrick Mahomes’ near-Hail Mary pass.

“That was a tough one,” the 38-year-old reasoned. “You’re running all the way over here and trying to reach back. I know you hold yourself to a high standard but that would’ve been a tough one.”
But while Travis stuck out, he had fiancée Taylor Swift by his side, as “The Life of a Showgirl” singer had perhaps her most public outing at Arrowhead Stadium this season, alongside longtime pals Selena Gomez and Lena Dunham, as well as Leonardo DiCaprio.
And while Selena has already shared her love for Taylor’s guy on the Chiefs, the Girls creator piled it on after her trip to Missouri.
“My first home team (I happen to be a New Yorker who lives in London who roots for Kansas City, so sue me),” Lena wrote in a Dec. 8 Instagram post. “Love you @killatrav.”
