BREAKING NEW: Travis Hunter “wakes up” after the break – Liam Coen reveals his plan to turn his two-faced talent into a secret weapon to help the Jaguars get back on track!
JACKSONVILLE – The Travis Hunter storm is brewing.

After a significant offseason, the Jacksonville Jaguars returned to practice with a clear goal: to turn rookie Travis Hunter’s potential into a consistent force each week. Head coach Liam Coen revealed that the bye week wasn’t just about rest – it was about unlocking a rare “two-way weapon” in NFL history.
Hunter, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has been a focal point on both sides of the ball – offensively and defensively. In his first seven games, he has played more than 100 plays, showing incredible stamina and character for a first-year player.
Before the offseason, Hunter thrilled fans by recording his first career TD, catching eight passes for 101 yards against the Rams – also the Jaguars’ first 100-yard game this season. With Lawrence at the center, the connection between these two young talents is seen as a vital hope for an offense that needs to “shock” back.

“We’re looking to make him more successful at both positions. Travis can do more, but the key is to use him wisely,” – Liam Coen shared.
Coen frankly admitted: the team needs to be a step ahead in attack, improve the ability to handle early downs and limit individual errors. Trailing from the start has forced the Jaguars to deviate from a balanced play many times, forcing them to pass the ball more than planned.
In parallel, Travis Etienne Jr. – the star running the ball – called on the whole team to find their identity to control the tempo, as the average running yards per game has halved in the past three weeks. “When the running game is effective, we become more dangerous from every position,” Etienne affirmed.
The Jaguars are at a crossroads: bounce back strongly after the break, or continue their erratic run. But with Hunter’s explosive rise, and Coen’s tactical adjustments, the atmosphere in Jacksonville is heating up – literally and figuratively.
