After a 0-2 start to the 2025 season, the Kansas City Chiefs finally started to pick things up, going 4-1 over their last five games, including a dominant 31-0 shutout of the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7.
Coming back from a six-game suspension, wide receiver Rashee Rice was a force to be reckoned with for the Chiefs’ offense, garnering some praise from the Miami Dolphins and former Kansas City wideout Tyreek Hill.

Tyreek Hill Shouts Out Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice After Dominant Return
Rice served a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy due to his involvement in a high-speed car crash in Dallas, Texas, during the 2024 offseason. While Kansas City was able to find some offensive consistency in his absence, getting Rice back into the fold would help the offense reach another level.
That was evidenced in Rice’s 2025 season debut. He recorded seven receptions from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and while 42 yards isn’t the highest total, he did score two touchdowns to help Kansas City build its 31-0 shutout.
While the offense spoke for itself, many fans on social media were impressed by Rice’s outing, including Hill. The former Kansas City wide receiver shouted out the young Chiefs wideout, saying, “Also, Rashee Ride is so dangerous!! Chiefs back rolling, love to see it.”
Rice burst onto the scene quickly during his rookie season in 2023, starting in 16 games and hauling in 79 passes for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. He got off to a hot start during the 2024 season, catching 24 passes over his first four games for 288 yards and two touchdowns before his season ended due to a torn LCL in his right knee.
Rice’s return gives the Chiefs another solid target in the passing game and a target Mahomes trusts. With tight end Travis Kelce not looking the same in 2025, Rice can help open up the offense with second-year speedster Xavier Worthy and surprising offseason addition Tyquan Thornton in the receiver room.
If the offense starts to open up, the Chiefs find themselves back in the contender conversation. The lack of an effective punch from the offense was concerning to start the season. However, every week, Mahomes and the Chiefs look more and more like the team fans have come accustomed to seeing. Rice’s addition to the offense will help them take things to the next level as the season continues.
