BREAKING: Cowboys on the Hunt — Jerry Jones Greenlights Massive Trade Push to Rescue Struggling Defense Before Deadline.susu

The Dallas Cowboys are officially in crisis mode. Once feared for their defensive dominance, America’s Team is now desperate to fix the one thing holding them back — a collapsing defense that’s dragging down a Super Bowl-caliber roster.

Sources close to the situation say Jerry Jones has given the green light for the Cowboys’ front office to explore every possible trade scenario before the November 4 deadline. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Dallas has been “calling around to nearly every team in the league,” searching for an impact defensive player who can immediately shift the tide.

This move comes amid growing frustration inside The Star, as the Cowboys currently rank near the bottom of the NFL in total defense — allowing the most passing yards per game and ranking 30th in points allowed. For a team with championship aspirations, those numbers are unacceptable.

Fowler reports that Dallas is targeting defensive linemen, edge rushers, and linebackers, with no tier of player off the table. The Cowboys even explored high-profile options like Maxx Crosby (Raiders) and Trey Hendrickson (Bengals), though both are considered unavailable. Still, the team’s search continues “high and low” across the league.

One key position of concern remains cornerback, following the alarming update on Trevon Diggs, who continues to recover from his recent injury setback. Insiders believe Dallas may add depth at that position, especially given their secondary’s ongoing struggles in man-to-man coverage.

However, there’s still hope from within. Promising linebacker DeMarvion Overshown is reportedly nearing a return, which could help stabilize the middle of the defense — though the Cowboys aren’t counting on that alone to fix their issues.

What makes this moment even more intriguing is the draft capital Dallas holds. With three first-round picks over the next two years, the Cowboys have the ammunition to swing a blockbuster deal. Whether they go all-in depends on the results of the next two games — and who becomes available as the deadline looms.

Owner Jerry Jones, never shy about making a splash, recently told reporters, “We’re open for business. If there’s a player who can make us better right now, we’ll find a way to get him.”

That statement alone has reignited hope among fans that Dallas won’t stand idle while its defense continues to crumble. With the offense firing on all cylinders behind Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, one bold move could be all that separates this team from true contention.

As November 4 approaches, one thing is clear — the Cowboys are ready to deal, and the NFL is officially on notice.
