BREAKING: Bills’ franchise QB is under fire after a stunning post-Falcons slump — questions swirl about whether he’s still got that MVP fire. With a bye week to reset, the pressure’s on… and the entire league is watching his next move… Binbin

The Buffalo Bills faced a tough defeat to the Atlanta Falcons on October 13, 2025, in a surprising 24-14 loss during Monday Night Football. Prior to the game, the Bills were widely regarded as one of the NFL’s strongest teams, but this loss has raised serious questions about their performance.

Despite still being one of the top teams in the league, particularly with MVP candidate Josh Allen at the helm, his performance in this game was far from his usual high standard. The loss left many questioning not only the team’s strategy but Allen’s own effectiveness on the field.

With the Bills now entering a bye week, the team needs to regroup and ensure that this loss is not a sign of a deeper issue. However, Allen’s struggles were apparent in the game, and his performance saw a noticeable drop in his quarterback rankings. He was ranked 7th by

USA Today, a significant slide from his previous ranking of 2nd.

Josh Allen’s Struggles Against the Falcons

The Falcons’ defense overwhelmed Allen more than any team had since 2021, applying a pressure rate of 56%, according to Next Gen Stats. This pressure led to Allen posting his lowest completion percentage of the season at 57.7%, along with two interceptions—his highest this season.

“We didn’t play our best, and I didn’t play my best. But we can’t dwell on this loss. We’ve got a bye week to regroup, and when we come back, we’ll be focused and ready to bounce back. I know I’m capable of much more, and I’m determined to prove it.”

Despite the struggles, CBS Sports still holds Allen in high regard, ranking him as the top quarterback in the NFL. “He didn’t have a standout game in the surprising loss to the Falcons, the second consecutive loss for the Bills in primetime,”

noted CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin. “But he remains the most dangerous playmaker at the position, especially with Lamar Jackson sidelined.”

Huddle for Hunger initiative. On October 9, the team revealed that they had donated a record 65,100 pounds of food to support FeedMore WNY and 400 hunger relief partners across the region.

“In 2025, a record-breaking 65,100 pounds of food was donated to the Huddle for Hunger Community Food Program to support FeedMore WNY and nearly 400 hunger relief partners across Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties,”

Looking Ahead for Josh Allen and the Bills
