The player — best remembered for his 39-yard touchdown against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field during the 2020 NFC Championship Game as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — says he still feels he truly “belongs in Pittsburgh,” the city that helped him rediscover his confidence and identity after a difficult stretch in his career.
“If Coach Tomlin called and said, ‘We want you back,’ I wouldn’t think twice,” he wrote on social media. “Pittsburgh taught me how to fight, how to stand tall when things get tough. I’d give up everything — just to wear that jersey one more time.”
After leaving Tampa Bay, he joined the Steelers as a slot receiver and return specialist, contributing steadily over two seasons. Beyond his speed and agility, he was seen as a glue guy in the locker room — a quiet leader who led by example.
