BREAKING NEWS: NFL GM Hints at Eagles Shockingly Trading Amid WR’s Increasing Issues With Team.cub

It’s been a tough start to the 2025 NFL season for veteran Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. He’s usually a favorite target of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, but Brown just hasn’t been that involved in the Eagles’ offense so far.

Through six games, including Thursday night’s 34-17 loss to the New York Giants, Brown has 25 catches for 274 yards and one touchdown. At times, he seems somewhat disconnected or lethargic on the field. That’s not a good look for him, and it’s given some people a reason to ask what’s happening with him.

Why Would Eagles Trade WR A.J. Brown?
Some NFL observers are watching Brown closely and have a few ideas about what is actually going on with the seven-year NFL veteran who’s played for the Tennessee Titans and Eagles.

“One league source told me: ‘Brown doesn’t look frustrated or mad – he looks indifferent. And that’s not a good place to be,” according to an article from NFL Insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

“A GM in the AFC said, ‘I think Howie (Roseman) moves him. It would have to be for the right player or pick, but (a trade) wouldn’t surprise me. Howie likes deals, especially if a player’s value overrides how Brown is being used.’ Most teams anticipate the asking price to be steep. Expect more calls as we near November.” Even Breiden Fehoko, the ex-Steelers DL, had something to say.

Roseman is the Eagles’ general manager, and it’s apparent that he, along with Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, is not happy with his attitude. Brown, who attended Ole Miss, was a second-round draft choice by the Titans in the 2019 NFL Draft as the 51st overall.

Against the Giants, the Eagles’ offense could not muster up a steady offensive effort. According to the PFSN Insights Dashboard, “The Eagles recorded a 70.7 OFFi grade, 23rd out of 26 teams to play in Week 5 entering MNF. That ranked 68th out of 80 Jalen Hurts starts (including playoffs). The Eagles have a 40.4% passing success rate this season, which ranks 28th. The four teams below them (Giants, Bengals, Titans, Browns) have a combined record of 5-15.”

Looking at the PFSN Offense Impact metrics, the 4-2 Eagles have a 73.1 Offense Impact Score and are graded at a C.

Brown has the ability to get open downfield and provide Hurts with a great option when he needs it. But not caring and appearing “indifferent” about what’s going on for the team right now isn’t a good look at all. No wonder Roseman might dump Brown to a willing team needing a solid wide receiver.

This situation will be worth watching as the Eagles’ season rolls along.
